HD and 1080p
HD commonly covers 720p and 1080p video. On a small phone, a stable lower-resolution stream can look better in motion than a higher setting that keeps pausing. On a large screen, 1080p can be a good choice when the source is clean and your connection remains steady.
When 4K matters
4K adds picture detail when the film edition, subscription, device and display all support it. High dynamic range and sound formats are separate checks. A 4K-capable television does not turn every older film or every subscription tier into a 4K stream.
Keep the picture moving
Try the player’s automatic quality setting, then lower it if buffering continues. Moving closer to the router, using a supported wired connection or pausing other downloads may help. Picture-in-Picture, speed controls and keyboard shortcuts depend on the player you finally use, not on the title card here.
