The original language shown on a 1mov card describes the production. It does not promise that every viewing option includes that language, a dub or multilingual subtitles. A German series such as Maxton Hall may have several language editions, but their availability depends on the service and country.
Choose the subtitle track
Once the chosen service opens, look in the player’s audio and subtitle menu. Captions for deaf or hard-of-hearing viewers may include sound descriptions as well as dialogue. A translated subtitle track is not always the same as closed captions in the original language.
Read comfortably
Where the player allows it, increase the text size, add a background or change the subtitle position. Test a short scene before settling in. Subtitle customisation can differ between a mobile app and the same service on a television.
Wrong language or timing?
Confirm the title and edition first. Then select another supplied track or restart the player. If captions are persistently out of sync, report the issue to the service carrying that edition. Changing the production-language filter here will not alter subtitles inside another player.
